Day One objectives:
Introduce the topic of mental health in the work environment and what is trauma
Explore the various types of trauma (acute, chronic and complex)
Identify how trauma presents itself through the lens of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for service providers and clients
Providers will explore appropriate trauma informed manner responses to triggers by clients
Day Two objectives
Build on the subjects explored in day one training
Explore the value of working in a service oriented agency with traumatized individuals
Evidenced based skills and simple strategies to gain and maintain boundaries while offering services
Discuss strategies for self care and emotional regulations
Review DBT skills on Acceptance vs Change
